Casual Games vs MMOGs

So what you prefer to play?? Well world prefers to play casual games. I am not saying that but statistics suggests that. There are overall 300 million casual gamers worldwide and out of which 15 million are paying monthly subscription of $5 or more on some or the other portal. Besides that 110 million casual games are downloaded every month generating revenue of over 200 million $ every year for the industry.
Whereas MMOGs user put together are "mere" 13 million. They may be generating lot of money for the industry but casual gamers outplay MMO players in numbers by a long margin.
Let me know what you are playing????

firstly, the two cater to VERY different customer bases....
i can guarntee you that an MMOG player will almost NEVER take casual games seriously, and almost every gamer serious about casual games has in fact, never played an MMOG before...

another thing to note is that most office staff spend time playing casual games as their workplace restricts them from installing any software aside from the work essentials, browser based games therefore score here...

casual gamers may outnumber MMOGamers, but MMOGamers still OUTPLAY them.
the MMO concept is a VERY new one in comparision to the latter and therefore it woudnt be correct to pass judgement just as yet.
sorry if i was biased towards MMOs, its my personal passion, but more than that, the bias was to even the odds off the original post :P .
