100 Gigabyte Hard Drive Add-on for Xbox 360 to come out soon

On Thursday, Microsoft announced that it plans to develop a 100-Gigabyte hard drive add-on for the Xbox 360. This bit of news was confirmed at the Microsoft X06 conference that took place in Korea. A 256MB memory card was also on display at the conference. This memory card is for those who prefer save their games onto a storage medium.
The current premium version of the Xbox 360 comes with a 20 Giga byte hard drive. Considering that PlayStation3 is scheduled to be launched in November this, we may just see stiff competition since it is packed with a 60GB hard drive.
The 100GB hard drive for the Xbox 360 transforms the console into a full-blown media center. Users will now be able to have more space to store Xbox Live downloads, and maybe even music and video purchases in the future.

PS3 to launch with free online games

Sony has unveiled details of the PlayStation 3's (PS3) online service as it attempts to replicate the success of Microsoft Xbox Live.

The PlayStation Network will allow PS3 owners to play other users online, chat, store images, download extras and browse the internet. The network will be free to play or chat on, but users must pay to download new games and other extras.
The announcement was made ahead of the console's launch in Japan slated for 11 November. The PS3 will be released in the United States on 17 November but Irish users will have to wait until March for its European release.
Sony is launching the console a full year behind Microsoft's Xbox 360. The PS3's predecessor, the PlayStation 2, enjoyed considerable success globally selling 105 million units worldwide, including 550,000 in Ireland -- its highest per capita penetration.
Microsoft has set the pace in online console gaming with its Xbox Live service, to which around 60 percent of Xbox 360 owners subscribe for a small annual fee.

I was contemplating renaming my blog from last few days which I finally did 2 days ago. Since I was the only contributor left here, it was mre of a ego thing to get my name reflected on this blog hence dabbot.blogspot.com
Well it wasnt a good decision because I have lost lot of visitors coming through Google and other places where I gave my link. Anyways I will put up a redirect on my earlier address to divert some traffic atleast.
So here I go writing my first blog on this address!!!

Diner Dash - Flo on the Go Preview

Some folks are workaholics, Flo for example. After successfully establishing her own diner, she helped several other restaurateurs create profitable eateries. Now, setting sail on a cruise, you'd think she could finally kick back and relax. Guess again.

Seems there's no rest for the weary in the latest entry in the Diner Dash series, Diner Dash - Flo on the Go. Even on holiday, Flo can't say no to a culinary emergency.

In the original Diner Dash, you had the chance to help Flo turn her dinky diner into a five-star enterprise. The sequel, Diner Dash 2: Restaurant Rescue, let you join Flo in assisting other food service entrepreneurs to burgeon their bistros. This time out it's a series of restaurant crises you face, as well as a fashion predicament.

AOL, DreamWorks promote movie with free online games

DreamWorks Animation is releasing yet another animated movie for kids, "Flushed Away." As a promotion for the movie, America Online and DreamWorks are releasing 24 online games, available for free online now. Each game will each feature a different character and setting. So are these games going to following in the footsteps of Alien Hominid, becoming so popular they make a console version? I doubt it. The history of movie games is not great, and the history of flash games about movies is even worse.

"Flushed Away" is a film that follows the adventures of Roddy, a pampered mouse living the dream life. Things go awry when a sewer rat named Sid shows up to live the life of luxury with Roddy. The mouse plans to take out the rat by flushing him back to the sewers where he came from. Things don't work out for Roddy though, who ends up being flushed down the toilet himself. Roddy then has to make his way back to the surface and blah blah blah. Man, this movie sounds boring.

2 new casual games websites!!!

My friend asked me to visit 2 newly launched casual games site called motafish.com and chotafish.com. Well one site has games for kids and another has games for children....wait a minute.... I need to first understand the difference between these two... looking at the content of these 2 sites, I could have easily interchanged the titles which means no point in segregating into kids and children as all games belong to the same league.
About ths site, I feel its uptdated and totally uninspiring. I would rate Games2win.com much better Indian games site than these 2 andlet me tell you that I am not a fan of Games2win either. These 2 sites belong to MIH India whose main business is going to be social netwroking so they might be trying to use Games as an additional feature to attract users but they need to tie this in with their blog portal which is ibibo.com which I guess means I Build & I Own - interesting!!!
See these sites and let me know your views on the same:

150 days to reach 1000 mark!!!

It took this Blog almost 150 days to touch the 1000 page views mark. Its an achievement for me becuase this signifies that atleast my entires were read by almost 300-400 visitors. This is based on the asumption that half of these 1000 views would be from yours truly and rest must have come from unknown visitors. So my next aim is to touch 5000 but how. I need you to tell me what I need to do to reach that figure quickly. I will really appreciate your ideas here. So drop in your comments and help me grow!!!
